2-North is a 27 bed unit specializing in postoperative surgical patients, pediatric patients, and medical patients. This is an inpatient nursing unit that provides nursing care and supports the medical regimen for a wide variety of acute care illnesses. The unit has the capacity to do continuous cardiac monitoring on all patients. The unit is staffed with Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Patient Care Assistants, and Patient Care Unit Secretaries. RN’s plan and coordinate the care of each patient, as well as provide direct hands-on patient care. This unit cares for the population of infants to the elderly.
