Coosa Valley Medical Center has a state of the art laboratory, equipped with the latest technology. Highly skilled, experienced and dedicated staff strives to ensure that physicians are provided with timely and accurate lab results necessary to facilitate excellent patient care. The lab at Coosa Valley provides a wide range of clinical lab procedures catering to all age groups. The lab is operational and fully staffed around the clock seven days a week for routine and "stat" procedures. Supervision and direction for the lab is provided by a Pathologist, a medical doctor especially trained in laboratory medicine. Specimens are analyzed in areas Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology and blood bank.

The lab at Coosa Valley also provides laboratory services to patients in our community who have out of town physicians, allowing them to have their lab work done locally and faxed to their physicians in Birmingham and other areas thereby saving the patient the time and expense of travel.
